Grounding is a rich and earthy elixir that deeply nourishes and calms the digestive system. In Mātauranga Māori (traditional Māori scholarship) the stomach, gut and organs in the central regions of the body form the ngākau. The ngākau not only supports physical wellbeing but is also connected to mental and intellectual health, being the place where thoughts were grounded and rationalised.
