We make enormous batches of kimchi when our the wong bok in our maara kai is ready to harvest. Our's is a flavourful country-style kimchi that gets a thumbs up from our Korean visitors at the Hawke's Bay Farmer's Market which is about the best review we think we can get and we are proud to now be using our homegrown organic wong bok. Eating kimchi and other fermented foods is a great way to introduce gut healing probiotics to our digestive system. Serve with eggs or rice, in a noodle soup, in a cheese toastie or just eat it out of the jar.
Ingredients: Wong bok*/ Carrot*/ Daikon/ Onion/ Garlic/ Apple* /Ginger* /Korean Chilli/Coconut Sugar*/ Sea salt*
Store below 4c for up to 3 months (forever actually but it's always good to finish the jar huh).
